Rolando Greene was named the head coach of the Purdue men's and women's track & field and cross country teams July 3, 2012. Greene came to Purdue from the University of Arkansas where he worked with the women's program for 16 seasons. Most recently, he was the associate head coach in charge of sprints, hurdles, horizontal jumps and multi events. He was named the USTFCCCA South Central Region Assistant Coach of the Year in 2011 and 2012.
At Purdue, Greene has led 38 Boilermakers to 86 All-America Honors, with 39 first teamers, 36 second teamers, and 11 honorable mention honorees. By year, Greene in 2016-17 has had two first teamers and eight second teamers, 2015-16 had 14 first teamers, 18 second teamers and seven honorable mentions, in 2014-15 had 14 first teamers, a second teamer and two honorable mentions, in 2013-14 he had had four first teamers and four second teamers, and in 2012-13 he had five first teamers, five second teamers and two honorable mention honorees. For his career, Greene has coached 62 different individuals to 179 All-America honors.
Under Greene, the Boilermakers have won 27 Big Ten event titles, including six on the women's side at the 2017 Big Ten Indoor Championships. Greene's Boilermakers have won the first Big Ten title in program history in five different events. He has also coached multiple Big Ten champions in sprints, hurdles, relays, throws, jumps and distance events. The full list is below.
